I ve been living in Keller for almost 5 years now. I am the mother of 4 children, ages 24, 21 and soon to be 14 year old twins. I am a ferocious reader and will read just about anything, except sci-fi. I am a R.N. by profession, but gave it up when it began to take time away from my reading! No, only kidding. I have been lucky to be able to... more »

Everyone's fine here. We are reading "a curious incident of a dog in the night time". Karen is hosting. I really like it so far, should be a good discussion! I am so glad we are in school, though Doerre is quite a change from Hassler for Kelly, but she's getting used to it. I met a friend of yours at tennis today, Ann Spataro. Were your ears burning?? Miss you, Meg

Dear Carole: I am an author from Massachusetts. (And the father of 10year old twins) My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April. If you enjoy reading a good thriller like DA VINCI CODE, you may enjoy HUNTING, too. HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O’Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: “Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come too soon.” Molly O’Dwyer is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious background who’s about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

To get a good sense of how powerful the book is, check out the heart-pounding book trailer on YouTube or on my web site at www.peterclenott.com. It is like watching a preview for an exciting movie. The novel is equally exciting.

You can find it on Amazon.com, Borders, Barnes & Noble. I hope you’ll take a look. And let me know what you think.

    Thanks. Peter.

Thx for the invite Carole. Glad to hear you are getting adjusted. My offer is still open. If you need anything pls let me know. Shopping, recommends for dent, hair, etc.
A little about myself. I have 4 kids- 17, 15, 13 x 2( not twins like you). Three of the kids are my step kids. One of the 13 yr old is mine( she is the one in my pic). All four live w/ us full time. Where does your 17 yr old go to school? Mine goes to Keller High. I love to read- It is my escape from my crazy life. I like to read just about anything except for sci-fi- just can't seem to get into that genre. If you see anything on my self you want to know more about just let me know. I just started consulting for Ambit Energy- Let me know if you want to save some money on your electric bill!! Most of my time is spent w/ my family- my sister is my best friend. I love my dog- weegie. I love to travel!
Looking forward to getting to know you Carole!!

Hi Carole. It sounds like you have been very busy reading this summer. I'm still reading the same book that I've been reading for at least a week or more. I'm spending too much time this summer on the computer or watching television. :) Anyway, right now, I'm reading "Bobbie Faye's (kinda, sorta, not exactly) Family Jewels" by Toni McGee Causey. I read her first Bobbie Faye book and liked it a lot. I've read quite a few others since June but unfortunately, can't remember all of them. The ones off the top of my head are "Home: A Memoir of My Early Years" by Julie Andrews , "Made in theU.S.A." by Billie Letts,
Killing Bridezilla" by Laura Levine, "Two Wars: One Hero's Fight on Two Fronts---Abroad and Within" by Nate Self, "Nightshade" by Susan Wittig Albert, "Fearlessly Fourteen" by Janet Evanovich, and some others I just can't think of at the moment. :) I'm nearly finished with the book I'm reading now and then I'm going to read "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. I hadn't planned on reading that series yet but someone let me borrow them so I want to get at least the first one in the series read soon.
Hope you are enjoying your summer, too.
