Welcome to the group based on the book 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. There is a general explanation of the group under the discussion thread GROUP GUIDELINES. The books of the month (BOTM) that the group is reading are pinned to the top. June’s BOTM are The God of Small Things by Roy, Wide Sargasso Sea by Rhys and Midnight’s Children by Rushdie. The choices for the BOTM for July are posted, please join in choosing next month’s book(s). We are also starting something new. It will be a Long Read consisting of books from the list that are greater than a 1000 pages. The group will be starting with War and Peace by Tolstoy which will be a May, June, July read.

Dear Cyber MI totally agree with you.I read Memory Keeper for book club and we all hated it.Such a good premise, but horribly badly written. I almost wanted to go back and write it better myself. Didn't feel lived at all. And as for the imagery......
if it can keep me interested i read it. i don't have any children i'm just 16.this is my last day of school till next year.YAYKristin
