I don't have time to read many books, so I listen to books on CD when I drive. I am able to get through a lot of books this way.

I enjoyed this book. It takes you through the operations of the Special Ops community, and introduces you to missions and TTP with which most people are unfamiliar. It shows the high tempo training of this community (along with equivalents like Delta.) If you have any interest in this part of the military, you will enjoy this book.

If you liked this book, you may also like two books by Sebastian Junger: The Perfect Storm, and Fire. Both go into great detail about the training for Pararescue training, as well as Fire Jumping.

This story picks up twenty years after the end of the previous book, Presumed Innocent. We learn a few things about Rusty that we didn't know in the first book. It starts out with Rusty calling his son, after he has been in bed with his dead wife for 24 hours. A series of missteps in his personal life leads to his being brought up on murder charges. There weren't quite enough courtroom scenes, but was there brought some great surprises. I did not expect it to end the way it did, though. Can't say any more than that. A good read, but I recommend reading the first book before reading this one.

This is one of the better Joanna Brady books that I have read. This one keeps your interest through the entire story, during two separate murder investigations.

The story takes place as Joanna Brady is approaching the end of her pregnancy. I was able to figure out one of the endings fairly early on, though.

I really enjoyed this book. I think this is one of the best Joanna Brady books I have read. The ability of the sheriff's department to handle all of the incidents which happen over a very short period of time keeps all of them very busy.

We learn some things about Joanna's father, and some things about her first husband as well.

This is not the edition that I read. This one is:
    ISBN-13: 9780307917393
    ISBN: 030791739.

I wasn't sure that I was going to like this book when I started reading it. I didn't really know much about it, other than what I had read on a dust jacket when I first saw it in a store. I only knew that I liked the other books of his that I've read.

The book started out a little slow, and it did pick up a little bit. The ending does have a signature Chris Bohjalian ending, and that is all I'll say about that.

The CD had an interview with the author, and he said that he didn't know how the book would end while he was writing it. He let the characters lead him on.

This is the next book I have read in the Ali Reynolds series. She has just completed her police academy training. An old friend calls her asking for help. In the course of helping Brenda Riley, she becomes involved in a murder investigation.

The book is good and fun to read. The story changes location as different characters are followed in the story. If you like Ali Reynolds, you will like this book as well.

Adam Dalgliesh is on holiday to take care of some property left to him when his aunt died. While he was there, he comes across a recently murdered woman. Although he tries to distance himself from the affair, since it's not his case, he still provides some assistance to the chief detective.

The book is nice to read. P.D. James weaves her usual magic into this story, keeping it interesting until the end.
