The concept that I will never be able to read every book I wish within my lifetime is something that just occurred to me within the past year. I have to say, it's one of the few realizations in my life that has genuinely made me sad! I'm not a melancholy person, so it's difficult to get me down...but that did it!

Here's to getting in every *worthwhile* read we can! :-)

I am working through The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo but am having a hard time getting into it! My father is reading it and loved it .... but both my mother and sister-in-law who read it were less than impressed. I see you enjoyed it. So that gives me hope to stick with it!

I was just coming to post to you to ask what you thought of the John Adams book on which the HBO miniseries was based? I just finished His Excellency George Washington and am hoping/ planning to read the biographies of each of the founding fathers.

I have 1776 and have been planning on reading it, but something alwasy seems to jump in front. I have several books about the founding fathers that I want to read. My fave historical figure is Thomas Jefferson and I want to read "American Sphinx" about him.
