I was lucky to have grown up in a family of readers, so I've been surrounded by books ever since I can recall. My earliest memories are of spending weekend days at home reading nonstop, sometimes finishing a book a day. Oh, how I long for the time to do that now!

My tastes these days are pretty eclectic--from literature to history to spirituality to books about thoroughbred racing (another passion of mine).

I'm a writer myself, but most of my writings are nonfiction essays. And while I love reading nonfiction, I also love to escape into a really good fictional story. « less
