Mark Williamson

I have read way too many business books in my day... so I am expanding my horizons by getting into new genres. Don't get me wrong, I still have a stack of business books I will read, but right now I am starting to read Enders Game, which will be my first "True" Sci-Fi read... I will let you know how it goes.

So do me a favor, recommend...more »

Mark, All the books by Orson Scott Card are good. You might want to try reading them in order. I am not much of a Sci-Fi fan but I do like these.

Hey, I notice that you are reading Angels and Demons, I'm also reading it. Is it just me or does it start off sortof slow? I started reading it about 2 weeks ago and have only picked it up twice. I just can't seem to get into it! How far along are you, and does it get better?

    Hi Mark,
I have a book I'd like to recommend: JAKE by Nick Trempus .... Nick happens to be my son .... his book is available at Amazon.com. I think you will really like his style of writing; an easy-read, and it takes you through a gamut of emotion - and the finish is nothing short of shocking.

Hi Mark, about Collapse - Jared Diamond: Very insightful and not too complex, is something that makes sense how the civilizations collapsed. I would read it.

Recommend a favorite book? Try one of my faves, "The Thirteenth Tale." It's a great story about reading and writing, and sort of a "ghost story."

Ender's Game is one of the 'new' classics of Science Fiction. Given the serious nature of the choices i see, I will be surprised if you don't enjoy it immensely!
