Michael L

I am married to a librarian, which means among other things that I have incredibly easy access to books and book-based information. I am a student of Religious Science at the Center For Spiritual...more »

I can easily envision a flowering cherry tree, with clouds of blooms, and gentle breezes creating blankets of pink snow. Beautiful vision.

Thanks for the request. I've been lurking on BTS group, never feeling like I have much to add. But I thought the game sounded fun & I still had a few extra minutes this a.m. before the rest of the family got up. I have a hubby who works in retail, therefore he works almost every Saturday & we have two kids. A 5 yo boy & a 4 month old girl. And three dogs :0) Animal lovers in this house.
    Have a good weekend!

I started a group called Read-a-Likes, and I'm trying to get some active readers involved in the group to help create lists of, well, read-a-likes. The group is small as I just started it the other day and only have a few posts, but I'd really like to get some more active members that can help create these lists. I think that it would come in handy for other members that are looking for some helpful readers advisory. Check out the group if you're interested: http://www.shelfari.com/groups/26266/about (i think that might work, haha). Again, the group's name is Read-a-likes.

    Thanks

    K.

Kurt Vonnegut used to live down the street by the Bay. His daughter still does - she converted his barn into her home. She is an artist whose muse is the domestic goddess, and is kind of into her own form of graffiti. His sons have all moved away after school. He was one of my favorites in my 20s-30s, and now my kids are that age and they love his stuff too. Breakfast of Champions is about our home town.

So Michael L - we do have clams. We have little necks about 2" (steamers), cherry stones, about 2 3/4", then what we commonly call quahogs or some call brights are the big boys, which is kind of silly because they are all quahogs aka clams. Anything smaller than 2" are illegal, and then I think if they get too big they're too chewy. The bigger ones are good when you cook, shuck, mince and add breading and spices and restuff, bake again and serve with tobasco.

The oysters between the Pacific and the Atlantic are very, very different. Our's our quite small and can be eaten - preferably - on the half shell raw. Your oysters are HUGE and can easily make a meal out of ONE, and I only saw in the restaurants served breaded.

Well, I think he looks CUTE! He also reminds me of another dog, that I used to work on. I am a veternarian myself and I forgot his name, but he does look just like him.

Wow! He looks younger than that. I have a beagle and he is 8 yrs old. I am actually deaf and so he is my service dog. But, that picture that I have right now is actually my best friends dog. Her name is Cutie and she is a deaf dog like me.
