I love life...it is love, it is beautiful, it is magical, it is enchanting. I love listening to good music, reading moving literature, writing poetry, hugging trees, being a yogini, drinking tea, and being in the midst of my family and friends. I love the time right before sunrise when the sky is a perfect blue-lavender-indigo color against the dark shadowy trees and the breeze is oh-so sweet...those times when you feel the Creator 's presence so closely you feel likes your floating. I love the way it feels when Kundalini moves up my spine. I love eating okra smothered in tomoto sauce atop of rice. I love hearing children play. I love people, especially people who are happy with themselves. I love the smell of sandalwood and Nag Champa incense...especially when it gets in my clothes. I love the way clean dirt smells...and I like when I smell that way, fertile and green.
I am currently working at a charter school for 18-20 years olds who are working on their high school degree. I have recently earned my BA in African-American Studies and Religion. This fall, I will be taking classes to become a licensed holistic health practitioner. Next fall, it's off to graduate school. I eventually will obtain my doctorate in either Anthropology, African-American Studies, or African Studies.
My long term goal is to have a profitable business and a non-profit organization focused on health and cultural education among people of African descent in America. I want to travel EVERYWHERE, try all different kinds of food, listen to all different kinds of music, and live life to the fullest!
