I enjoy all sorts of books (except most romances and westerns).
As a tree-hugger and occasional animal rights and peace activist, non-fiction books about the environment, politics, history and animal welfare interest me.
Cooking good food and being kind to the earth and its creatures is one of the most important things a person can do. Books that help me cook responsibly and prepare great tasing dishes are valued highly.
At one time I used to teach Christian scripture from an academic point of view. Alas, my familiarity with Christian scripture has turned me off on the commonly held ideas of what a Christian should be like. Slowly, my books on Chritianity are being given away and sold off to other people who want to study Christianity.
I do have lots of books. Many I got for free. Other books I have read, but not had the time to go through status updates. Others I plan to read. Some of my books I will probably never read, but I wanted to support the author in some way, usually because the author is trying to better the world in some way by his or her book.
Besides reading my other hobbies are urban gardening and vegan cooking.
