My love for reading really started for me as a young child. My oldest brother, Donnie was an avid reader and every year for Christmas and my birthday, he would buy me the BEST BOOKS!!! Some of my favorites were Where The Sidewalk Ends; The Enormous Egg; If I Ran the Circus; Horton Hears a Who and so many others! He and my mom, took me on a... more »

How was the dance? Did she have a good time? Where's Santa? I'll be on here again tomorrow. Hope you have a good day! I'm starting a new book titled the Memory Keeper's Daughter; it sounds interesting and Karen said it was a wonderful movie. Keep Kate Morton in mind for your to read list.

Happy Halloween! Have you read Lark by Tracey Porter? It is a YA. If you ever read it, I would like to know how you felt about it. Are things better? Still praying, always praying.

"The foundation of my life is not in a place, or people, or anything else that is of this world. It is only in the Lord, and wherever I am, He is there too. He is my foundation, and with Him is my true home. Everything else is temporary." Quote from "On The Run" by Lorena McCourtney. Hope this helps and the prayers too.

Thanks for your note. Today was really a beautiful day. I had to walk when I got home because it was gorgeous. Hope you had a nice day. It was Staff Development Day at "Clifty Park". I always enjoy the Staff Day at the park each year. The atmosphere, food and fun times everyone seems to be having. We reviewed some library procedures and rules. It makes me want to review and try to learn more. We also got to see the new musical instruments in the Children's Room. We moved to music, shaking eggs (not real ones) according to the directions given by the instructor and waved a ribbon or banner of cloth attached to a plastic ring. This gave us an idea of what the children do in the programs Kara presents. It also helped after lunch because I needed a little exercise after eating at the buffet. Kara had a neat video from the internet of some librarians dancing with book carts to "hip-hop" music and the word "books" posted on the rear of their pants, shaking their bodies to the music. We also learned some basics of Belly Dancing from Heather. Take care. See you tommorow. Your vacation day won't be to far away.

Just wanted to say hi. Hope everything is going well for you today. I was off work today because of working on Sunday. I baked Jonathan a chocolate cake for his birthday, two days early. It was very good. I have to get ready for work tommorow. I don't know how people find time to get everything done. Time always gets away from me.

I see you are starting the Canadian West Series. I hope you like it. I appreciated your note. Have been in prayer for your father-in-law; trusting that the procedure went well today.

Hi friend. I just finished Beth Wiseman's Seek Me With All Your Heart. It is the first one in the Land of Canaan Series. I loved it. The next one is due out Oct. 4th; Rebecca has put in a purchase order for it. She's also written The Daughters of the Promise Series which I also really liked. Just thought I would share these with you. Also, prayers are needed for a 3rd grader, Hannah, who has cancer. Hope you have had a good week. Enjoy your day off; RL and RS are holding down the fort today.
