I work part time at a local library, which is both a blessing and a curse, being as I LOVE to read. I am known to bring home arm-loads of books that I found at work, to add to the piles upon piles of books I already have stacked on my own bookshelves.
It has, however, introduced me to many titles and genres that I may have never taken a second glance at otherwise. I am comfortable now with being able to bring home a book and give it a try. The downside to that is the fact that I am one of those people who feels they MUST finish a book once started. Some take longer than others.
Since I also am learning the world of domestic duties, such as cooking, having all of those cookbooks handy is a lifesaver sometimes, when the same ol, same ol gets too routine. I can bring home a cook book or two, and half-way decently whip up something new!
I am also trying my hand at some crafts, and I am having a ton of fun perusing through the crafting books and getting new and unique ideas to try out.
I am blessed with two wonderful children, a great guy who treats me like his queen, and the best co-workers a person could hope for. I am finally able to start gardening like I've always wanted to.
