Software Development Engineer
Shelfari (www.shelfari.com), the leading social media site focused on books, is looking for an outstanding software engineer with experience designing and building high-quality, massively scalable web applications. Responsibilities Include:
- Design and build massively scalable features
- Write and maintain detailed statements of design
- Work with JavaScript, ASP.NET, C# and HTML code
- Work with QA engineers and testers to identify software defects
- Interact with customers and upper management regarding overall product design
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience with
- ASP.Net application server development and management
- Javascript
- Working in an agile environment
- Some SQL
- Has a love of books and reading
- Has a MSCS, MSEE, MS Math or other technical degree.
Requirements:
- A+ player, with an A+ track record
- 5+ years application development experience
- Participated and contributed to at least one large consumer product release from inception through release
- Experience working on a deployed n-tier application architecture
- Proficiency in at least three of the following languages: C++/C, Java, C#, PHP, Perl, SQL, or Javascript
- Team player focused on problem solving
- Self motivated and driven to accomplish goals
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written communication skills are required
- BS computer science, engineering, math or other 4 year technical degree
