  • Casanegra: A Tennyson Hardwick Novel

My friend gave me the book and said that she couldn't read it. I had no problem reading it and I actually got pretty caught up in it. It made me want to finish reading it until I was done. I will say that I've read Mrs. due before and her writing was a bit hard to read, but this book flowed for me. I definitely suggest it for your bookshelf.

Awesome work that creates HIV awareness. Sade Peters has no clue that the man that she has been married to for the past 17 years has been hiding secrets from her- secrets with deadly consequences.

A must have for your library!

Great book! A definite read. I love how the author spins the relationships and you really get into the feelings of the characters, esp with the reasons they make the choices that they make.

  • The Five People You Meet in Heaven
    • Rated 5 stars

I absolutely love this book. I read books without going in with too many assumptions. This book is not what you think. It challenges conventional views of Heaven and may make some people uncomfortable with that idea. But read the book and find the lessons in it. It gets to the heart of the fact that everything that we do in our lives somehow affects someone else, whether we know it or not. Great read!

  • The Secret
    • Rated 4 stars

I really wanted to see what all of the hype was about. The book was inspiring, but said the same ideas over and over again. It's a great read, and a definite buy for your book collection. I did agree with the ideas in the book and it's amazing how much of it is common sense or things that my grandmother and mom told me all of my life, especially if you have some type of spritual basis in your life!

  • Voodoo Dreams: A Novel of Marie Laveau
    • Rated 3 stars

I did enjoy reading this book. I love the historical fiction element, but I'm not so sure if she should have linked the main character to the mystique of Marie Laveau. I think if she could have just linked the character of Marie to voodoo in another way, it would have been better. It took me a second to read this book, but it was worth the read.
