Oh, dear Bunny, I was hoping you were hard at work on your next novel, but vacation sounds divine to me at this point. I hope you're somewhere exotic and full of l'amour.

    Bunnie, dear,

I’ve missed your participation at Anglophiles Anonymous. I hope it wasn’t something Mrs. Danvers said. Please do drop in – we’re attempting to determine our Top Ten Favourite British Novels, amongst other vital matters. And feel free to start your own discussion threads if none catch your fancy.

    Yours faithfully,

    Tinky

Hi again! So you're reading the Dr. Who novels...my husband and I were talking about the TV series this weekend as we're interested in watching it. I was quite disappointed to find out our local video stores don't read the series :-( I think it is on TV here, but as I've never watched it before I was hoping to start with season one. Since you're reading the books, I'm going to assume you watch the show? If so, would you recommend it?

As for Dunnett, I find her books difficult to get through due to her writing style. Nevertheless, as I really enjoy the storyline in the Lymond Chronicles I'm sticking with reading them.

Hello Bunny! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance :-) Although I've been to Scotland, I didn't have a chance to go to Glencoe....but it's on my list of things to see when I go back one day.

Are you reading anything good right now? I'm reading Queen's Play by Dorothy Dunnett (albeit quite slowly), Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens (for Anglophiles Anonymous - I'm behind and trying to catch up), and will soon start Peony in Love by Lisa See for my local book club.

I took this picture when I took my daughters to visit the bridge last July. They seemed to enjoy it too. The nice thing is that this bridge is more impressive than Capilano Suspension Bridge, but Capilano costs money to visit, while Lynn Valley is free! ;)

Thanks for inviting me to be your Shelfari friend a few days ago. I've only just got round to looking at your book list, which is an interesting list. I have a lot more books that I haven't got round to reading, which I haven't listed including a whole stack of Dick Francis novels. I guess I feel it would put pressure on me to read them if I listed them, but I don't know when I'll get round to them.
