I am a science fiction author, My debut novel, a science fiction adventure entitled Project U.L.F. was released in February of 2007. A sample chapter of the book is available to read on my website at http://www.stuartclark.net

I grew up reading a lot of Willard Price's adventure books and I think that's where my love of adventure stories stems from.

The first adult fiction novel I read was Desmond Bagley's "High Citadel" and I continued reading Bagley novels until I discovered Craig Thomas' "Firefox" at which point I was hooked on Craig Thomas.

I then went through a fantasy phase, devouring anything by Terry Brooks, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman and Tad Williams.

These days my favourite fiction author is John Connolly whose writing style I admire a great deal. Other than that, I read a lot of non-fiction books now.

As far as my writing is concerned, my writing style has definitely been influenced by all of the above mentioned authors. My science fiction influences are drawn more from movies than from books. Some of my favourite Sci-Fi movies are: Star Wars (Obviously!) Alien, Predator, Stargate, Rollerball, Solaris, The Thing, The Terminator, Terminator 2, Star Trek (The Motion Picture), Star Trek II (The Wrath of Khan)....you get the idea. I also really enjoy Star Trek TNG and Babylon 5.

I now live in the US with my wife and daughter.
