I see you liked the Egyptian :) Please let me know what you think of River God, it sounds great.
Hi, I see you are reading the Egyptian, I thought it was a wonderful book. Let me know what you think of it. Thanks, Ben
The following books aren't exactly historical fiction (they're actually autobiographies with a lot of artistic liberties), but you might want to check out The Confessions of Lady Nijo and Musui's Story. You seem to have an interest in Japan, so I thought you might enjoy them. Lady Nijo was a concubine to Emperor Go-Fukakusa. She spins an artistic, overly dramatic, and sometimes quite comical tale of her life at court. Musui's Story is about a poor and absolutely useless Tokugawa samurai. He was a scoundrel, a liar, a bully, practically illiterate, and so forth. At one point his father had him locked in a cage for a year because he was such an embarrassment to the family. Katsu Kokichi wrote the account of his life in order to tell his grandsons what NOT to do with their lives, but it makes for an entertaining read for the rest of us.
Hiya! Just checking in to see if you've read anything interesting lately.

Hi, Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond about the book Taiko,, I never figured out exactly how that response page worked. I enjoyed the book because at the time I had read it (years ago) I had just returned from Okinawa. I had learned many things about oriental customs and warfare, and this bookk fit right in. Good period piece. Ben
hello!have sent u a friend request...loved ur shelf..am about to start name of the rose(in english).i am from india, btw.
It's beutiful thing the person learn new thing it's good...for so we must take the time for reed a book ...just..thanks
