I'm only about 50 pages in, but it's already pretty incredible. It's a really intricate story so I'm sure it will take me a while to read, but I get the feeling it will be worth it.

Nay. I'm very sceptical of books that are written in really strong bad language. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is a case where is works brilliantly, but in The Infernal Optimist, the guy's basically a bit of a bogan, and I didn't like the language. But that's just me. It's pretty funny at times. I'm reeeeeally liking The Lost Dog by Michelle de Kretsner.

I see that, like mine, your shelf also mainly consists of books you have to read for uni. I cannot wait until I can read for pleasure again.

You can read one, all or none. If you read another book from the list please post a review and rating in the discussion thread for other books.
We also have a Long Read consisting of books from the list that are greater than a 1000 pages. The group will be starting with WAR AND PEACE by Tolstoy.
