Last Kiss in Venice (Legend of the White Snake)
Beside a bridge over a canal in Venice, Charlie is spell bounded not only by Caitlin’s absolute beauty but also by a mythical bond between them. The more he knows about her, the more mysterious she becomes. As they finally admit their love to each other in Paris, then move to settle down in Australia together, it looks like the start of Happily Ever After. But neither of them realizes that this is just the start of a heart-wrench love and hate journey.
After a Lifetime of searching, Caitlin finally finds her true love, settles down in the beautiful rolling countryside of outback Australia, and starts to raise a family, but her enemy is never far away. She loves Charlie deeply and is certain he is her soul mate, but she knows she can never reveal her secret, he must never know who she really is, and that is her downfall. Information in the hands of her enemy brings her life crashing down around her, in order to save all she has worked for; she must fight for her love and the right to survive.
“Last Kiss in Venice” is a reinterpretation of one of China’s most famous love stories, ‘Legend of the White Snake’. It is a supernatural love epic that encompasses both eastern and western culture to tell a story of love and hate, loyalty and betrayal, revenge and justice. This cocktail of oriental magic, vampires, and sword fights is a legend not easily forgotten.
Thanks Barrons has left my Avi for some rest. He'll be back. I have not seen or heard anything from that camp (Surprising)I'll check it out.
No, I am trying hard not to go there(Twitter). I just know I would be too interested in it for my own good.
I bet she is going to blast me for giving her a iffy review, and her friends too.
5 ppl edited it ? no way, unless they did it blind folded ! It does have promise, really -but it sucked for a published work IMHO. Too bad she did not take the criticism to heart, she missed an opportunity to make her book shine. I wish you would read it to see if I am being too picky, but at the same time maybe you should pass. it's a long book and not rewarding.
The Forever Girl-OK, I have mixed feelings on this book. Reading it was an experience in ADD. It was all over the place. The story was interesting the world was unique and had so much potential....but the author keep going off on extreme details that had nothing to do with the story. Pages would be spend describing , cloths, environment, others clothes, old relationships, and you would think okay this has something to do with what is coming up right ? NO, never mentioned again. This happens a lot in the story, maybe 1/3 of the whole book is useless babble. Then there was the unbelievable acceptance of the main character shocking revelations in her life.
I hate to give this young author my honest review. I think she has great potential, with a really good editor. Her world building was very good as was her character development.
I would give the book an honest 2.5 stars as it is. Edited I think it could jump to a 4 star. I really would love to hear somebody else's thoughts on it. I think the reviews are friends.
That was glued not glues, geesh. I try to talk type and cook dinner at the same time. Can't do it. LOL
It's a bit all over the place right now(lots going on) at 10% but I am getting more glues to it with every new page. I thought it was a short story when I started it, it's long.

I'm not quite sure how the "follow" thing works...brand new to this site. But I see a lot of similar books on your shelf, when compared to books I've read and plan to read. So, I clicked on "follow" to see what new items you find that I might miss. I hope this is "ok". If not & I'm going about this wrong, please just let me know.
Hi! Thanks for following me. We have a lot of books in common and you have awesome books on your shelf! :) I followed you back! :)
