Scarlett

I am an avid reader, always have something going but don't get to read as much as I'd like. I am a library sub in a school district and enjoy interacting with the kids about books also. Besides reading I love to do cross stitch, knitting, crochet and whatever else catches my fancy.

Some of you have expressed interest in being able to post pics of Halloween costumes and such. Well, Katie, Diamondgirl, got the idea of starting up a Yahoo group for the Chiller Shelfari group. We could use it for things like posting possible new avatars that group members could vote on and for voting on monthly authors and such, since that's something we can't really do very easily here on Shelfari.

If you're interested in getting an invite to the new Yahoo group, please send Diamondgirl a private note with your e-mail address.

Don't worry, the Shelfari group isn't going anywhere, we just figured this would be an easier way to do some more things with the group.

Do let me know how much you liked "City of Masks".
I've just started reading "Roots" by Alex Haley and "To Kill a Mockingbird"
"Roots" was recommended to me when I was in the University. Have you read it?

Hi Scarlett...How are things? I just finished The Time Travelers Wife, and I'm starting Friday Night Knitting Club. Have you read either of those? I finished the 2nd book in the Twilight series and I'm kind of taking a break from Twilight. I have started a "real life" book club here in my home town with 6 other women. Our first book was Time travelers wife. They are a great group and I know it's going to be a lot of fun! We meet once a month and rotate around to each others houses. Well, keep me posted on what you are reading...I'm always interested! Linda T.

Heyy Scarlett, I've completed reading Kane and Abel and I loved it. I think I'll grab up "Prodigal Daughter" as well, since I enjoyed reading the first in the series so much and also since you say the latter is also quite good :)

I like your icon picture. Depending on the weather and the view, I could see me there, reading a book, with the dog at my feet and my daughter (also reading) in the other chair, and with some of our favorite tea set up on the table in between.

No, I haven't read "The Innocent Traitor". I just finished Twilight this morning. I'm ordering the rest of the series on Amazon tonight! Can't wait to see what happens. I asked you about "The Queens Fool", because while I was reading it, I came across the fact that my son's namesake "Sir Nicholas Throckmorton" is mentioned in it, and I thought that was so cool. He was actually a knight during the time of Elizabeth. When my husband and I decided on a name for a boy, we decided Nicholas because of him! (My husband actually is a decendent of Sir Nicholas). Anyway...that was a surpurise.
    Talk to you later.

Hi Scarlett...looks like you've read Twilight!! I am just finishing it now. I like it...at least it's definitely keeping my attention! I was also wondering if you've ever read "The Queen's Fool"? It's by Phillipa Gregory, the same author who wrote, "The Other Boleyn Girl". Do you like historical fiction? Just thought I'd check in and say hey!
