I am a 20yrs married Mom homeschooling two great young people.. I have written a few poems, many essays, and the odd book -but only a few articles have been publicly published. I have been a bibliophile since I was knee high to a hickory stump. Books have always been a big part of my life, though my love of adventure games has sometimes competed with books for what free time I have.

My rating system
1 star :: Its a book-shaped object.... It still has a use, if the pages are nice and soft, and you have a small shed decorated with a crescent moon...
2 stars :: The book has a few good points, but not enough to endure its bad ones ever again.
3 stars :: Its a decently written, workmanlike effort - but it didn't thrill me. I don't recall any major flaws, and I wouldn't feel guilty handing it to a friend interested in the genre/subject. They may well love it! A year from now, I will do well if I even remember the premise/plot ...which may lead me to read it again someday.
4 stars :: This means is its Very Good (tm). I will remember it. I would gladly read it again (and I probably will) It may be that there is some small drawback that disqualifies it from being a 5 in my book - or else I know *I* loved it, but I suspect other readers won't be as thrilled with its workmanship, cleverness etc. It wouldn't be fair to tell the whole world that its one of the bestest books ever, when its greatest charm is that I love penguin jokes. ;-)
5 stars :: Its a classic or its a personal favorite AND I believe it is well-written. I may have reread it many times already. I not only remember it, I can quote bits at you. You are warned. lol
