After many years of working as a graphics artist, I stumbled into the field of writing and editing when someone noticed that I had an aptitude for hacking and slashing up other people's prose. Apparently, I am more of a menace with a red pen than I was with an X-acto knife. At any rate, it's a living, and it will do for now.
Some of my favorite authors include Louise Erdrich, Barbara Kingsolver, E. Annie Proulx, Al Franken. I'm a big fan of "kid lit," and can't resist a good tale accompanied by wonderful illustrations.
