    DRACULA: Hearts of Stone.
Enter this world of magical vampires. This MIGHT be a little like Dracula if written by J. K. Rowling. It’s a place where enchantment and biters interweave for an exciting adventure.
It’s a tale of magic, romance and fangs; a tale of valor.
We start with a shiny new pot of boiling water and add too many evil vampires, and not enough of the good biters. Toss in one suicidal Dracula; add a cup of mayhem and a dash of romance. Oh yes, and a pinch of mirth. Stir lovingly and you have a new novel by A. J. Gallant. If it sounds like the recipe for you then you must read Dracula: Hearts of Stone.

    OR

"Madman in the Mirror" is a story about a man - Henry Johnson - who is raised by a psychopath and forced to watch - even as a baby - his father murder people on a regular basis. He is also abused and brainwashed, turning him into a sociopath. Henry stalks and murders people efficiently - he tells himself that he may be a killer, but he doesn't want people to suffer. He is haunted by hallucinations, including a specter in his mirror that talks to him.
“A.J. is a master at creating word images that remain with the reader long after the book is finished.” Richard S. Friedman

I discovered (by way of my daughter) Elizabeth Chadwick who writes historial novels, some based on real life characters and the events of their lives set in medaevil England somwhere between the 1100 and 1200s. I read other books besides but am enjoying everyone I have read so far and right now I am reading a book by her called The Marsh King's daughter. This one is much more fictionalised. The Scarlet Lion is about a famous historical knight, again by the same author (have just had information that she has wrtten 18 books in this vein). My next book will be about his earlier life and that is called The Greatest Knight. I also like the Stephanie Plum series, though I borrow these from my daughter.
My main reading material used to be sci/fi and some fantasy but I havein recent years broadened my horizons.

Hi, sorry I was a lon g time replying to your friendship request. I do not go to shelfari very often as I am so busy with other sites. What are you reading at the moment? I am on a history fiction trail at the moment. Elizabeth Chadwick. Many of her books are based on real historical figures of medaevil times and are well written. Have just finished her 'Shadows and Strongholds', and am now reading her book called The Marsh King's Daughter which is more fictional than fact I think. However, tbhe next book of hers I will read will be 'The Greatest Knight' who was a real live person in the late 1100s and early 1200s. I look forwad to it as I have already read 'The Scarlet Lion' which is about this knight in later life (did not realise there was an earlier book abut this man ).

Really? That's super cool. I've tried a lot of times to write but, alas, they don't work out. What's the topic of yours? Mine was a wimpy guy that had a family of athletes. He on the other hand is really artsy. His dad hits him for being a wimp sending him to a hospital where he needs head surgery. While unconcious, he goes to this dream world where people accept him, when he wakes up, the surgery allowed him the power to, when he sleeps, travel back to that world, but the world isn't as great as it seems. DUH DUH DUUUUUUUUHHHHH!!! X)
