I'm a Canadian SF author and ecologist. I've published short stories all over the planet (with translations into Greek, Polish and Hebrew so far). I published three novels. My latest, "Darwin's Paradox" by Dragon Moon Press (on sale November 2007 and available for pre-order now at www.amazon.com) is an ecological thriller set in Ontario that explores our evolving relationship with machine intelligence and nature's intelligence, and how it will shape what it means to be human. I live in the rural outskirts with my family and dog-eating cat. Catch my ongoing musings on science, technology, nature, books and philosophy on my blog: The Alien Next Door (http://sfgirl-thealiennextdoor.blogspot.com). Read an excerpt or listen to a podcast of "Darwin's Paradox" at www.darwinsparadox.com. My reading list is heavily skewed toward SF with some historic/realistic fantasy. But some of my favorite books include those in classic literature, contemporary thriller, non-fiction philosophy, nature, science and the arts.
