    Hi Rosie,

I believe you should also read By the River Piedra ... I read it for 2-3 days only as I couldn't stop once I started reading it. The central characters were mysterious in the beginning but as I read, I was enlightened with why their behavior and attitiude and thinking were such. The book is very spiritual, you also begin questioning your own spirituality as you get deeper into it - but in a positive way. It was a healthy questioning on my part; nothing as to destroy what I was already believing in. Maybe, the book helped in even strengthening my belief in a God, the universe which I am aligned with. Hope you also enjoy reading the book (if ever).

I can't only read one book unless it is really good...It turns out the third book I started , "Middlesex" by Jeffery Eugenides is fascinating and its taken over all of my reading time. I own "My name is Red" and it is on my to read list, perhaps I will read it next. I did notice that you have some Gabriel Garcia Marquez on your shelf, but you are lacking "100 years of solitude" Have you read it? It is one of my favorite books and if you have not read it I think you should.

what a great talent you have! :) I never managed to read more than one book at a time. I tried it once and found it really hard to keep on track with the events, names and dates included within a novel.. Have you ever read 'my name is read' by Orhan Pamuk? I tell you this book is one of my favorites... I told you I'm on reading Linwood Barclay's book and its a thriller and up to this moment I can't find anything thrilling about it lol :D
