I am happiest with a good book, my iPod and a cup of Starbucks Caramel macchiato, non fat, no whipp, sugar-free vanilla, with less caramel drizzle....yummy with less guilty indulgence.

    Hi Regie,

Good to hear from you, been a long, long time. Nice that you had the opportunity to visit my old hometown ... and you choose the best time to visit it as well. I love those long, warm summer nights, when it never really seems to get dark. Around the world in 80 days, huh. Actually one of the books that really made me into a reader, I was a huge Verne addict for many many years (well, between 11 and 14 anyway :)). Iris is great, she loves for me to read books for her, and speaks more and more, although she still mixes up the languages (she hears french and swedish at home, and german in daycare). Hope all is well in the Phillipines, otherwise, still doing the long-distance running ?

    Take care,
    Jonas

Hi, Regie! I also bought my copy at National's shelf of discounted books and I had thought The Historian was a historical novel of Vlad Tepes, but it turned out to be 900 pages of batty supernatural rubbish.
Anyway. you gave The Charlemagne Pursuit 5 stars so that's encouraging for me. It's going to be my next read.
Out of topic, but I was in Cebu last July and it's a lovely place!
    Warm regards from Manila,
    Kris

Hiya Regie, How have you been? Just got back from England and Ireland and had a great time. My friend got married and it was like a fairy tale. They had their reception at a castle and everything. Insane! How are you? What have you been up to? Hope all is well!

Hey! How are you? Not too much going on with me. Went to San Francisco at the beginning of the month and am getting ready to go to Belfast next month. Don't think I am going to be hitting up Amsterdam this time. One of my old flatmates from Scotland moved to Canada so now I have to go visit him up there before he moves along to another job.

Hope all is well. Just wanted to say hi!

I have a request, please come to Travelers' Club sometimes! I started knowing you from there and I still relate your friendship with that broad and open platform! I really miss you there.
Take care and all the best!

Way to go with all the travelling! What did you think of Amsterdam? I am thinking about going there at the beginning of October (have a wedding in Belfast at the end of September and want to see other countries while I am on that side of the world). I was supposed to meet up with some friends but I haven't heard from them in a while and I am booking my flights soon. It is between Holland, Austria or Luxembourg (for now) that I am planning to go and see.

Then I need to formulate a life plan - you know the usual!

    hi regie,
the festival sounds like lots of fun! i enjoy anything like that ~ although celebrations here never seem to be as great as overseas.
i am not reading very much either, i'm trying to get into my current book... but the last few evenings i have been doing other hobbies that i enjoy, and also watched a movie tonight instead of reading... reading is wonderful, but there are so many other things that i enjoy too!
We never went away anywhere for the holidays (but my son did), we are getting ready (and looking forward to) a visit from my Aunty and her husband, who will be visiting from the UK... this will be their first visit to NZ, and we haven't seen them since '93... so it is very exciting!
    Don't work too hard! :)

Hi Reg. Its a matter of dividing your time so you get to do everything you want to do and enjoy doing it at the same time. Hehe. Don't forget all the hospital and admin work that has to be done in between!
