I am the author of ten nonfiction books on a variety of topics but I specialize in forensic science, criminal law and entertaining. I hold a degree in cirminal justice and am a trained forensic artist, able to do 3-dimensional forensic sculptures and comprehensive composite art. I am a member of several professional organizations and rub shoulders with law enforcement, forensic scientists, and parole officers on a regular basis. I am Editor for the Arkansas Identification News, a quarterly that goes out to professional whom all belong to the International Association for Identification. Although, I am an author first and work at it full-time.

There are areas that I am passionate about other than my specialites above, I raised a capuchin monkey for Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled. I had "Ziggy Campbell" from five weeks old to twelve-years old. She is now placed and the love of someone else but they are very happy and she has changed John's life so much, it gives me goosebumps to think about it. Of course, I have been studying primatology since 1989.

I also am an exercise and workout enthusiast. Trying to delay the old aging gambit. I walk two miles every day, no matter the weather, and three times a week I do Pilates, Yoga or weight training.

I belong to professional writing organizations and have been in the publishing business since 1990. Currently I am swimming against the current and working on one novel, and a couple of book proposals.
