Hi Payton! I recently finished reading your book Smitten and I really enjoyed it. Hope you're surviving all the rain your area has received this past week!

Oh I can't stand Stephen King! I hope you enjoyed your book though. I don't like his books because I always know that the endings have no hope of being happy endings!

Just got done reading Dean Kootnz "The Taking", and it was the scarest book I have EVER read! You should read it simply for the sake of reading it. I'm not sure if you will like it, but it's like watching a horror flick. I wish they would turn this into a movie!

Not sure if you have read the Blue Zone but that is one of the books I am reading
now. Certain areas of the world , people living to over 100 years old, what they
eat, how they live etc. I am really enjoying it and marking up my pages. (It's
mine and I can write in it I say to myself!!!)
You might want to pick it up at the library.

Hi Payton! I saw you just finished a book by Randy Wayne White and gave it a good rating. I had never heard of this author until today, when my husband's friend loaned him two books by Randy Wayne White titled Sanibel Flats and The Heat Islands. And then I saw that you had just finished reading a book by this same author. I just thought that was so interesting that I had never heard of this author before, and then today my husband's friend loaned him those two books and I read your review on Shark River by the same author. Coincidence, or something more? :-) Hmmmm.....

Just wanted you to know I finished "Thunderhead" and loved it.
I will slowly get through all their books but I always try and change authors. Can't read all in a row. Does that make sense? That's why I haven't started Blasphemy. Soon.....

It's hard to know what's actual fact or fiction in a large part of the book, Payton, but it gives you a lot to think about, regardless. I think you'll like it. At least I hope so!

Hi Payton. Facts with Fiction is a good name for the reading group. Let me know what you think about The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels. Talk with you later!

Hi Payton. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book Resurrection as much as I did. I enjoyed reading your review. It was very interesting and indepth. I think I will add another book to my wishlist - The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels, I believe. As you said, there is a lot to contemplate regarding this topic, and I want to learn more. Hi Payton! I'm so glad you were able to get Resurrection. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did. Let me know how you liked it. It's fun to get different book ideas from other people's bookshelves, isn't it? There are so many great books out there. I know what you mean about running out of room on your bookshelves at home. Mine are very full also. Thanks for the information on your books. I think it's neat that you add a philosophical undertone or message to your novels. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for taking the time to peruse my bookshelf and for leaving the comment. Yes, I enjoyed both Star Trek and Star Wars, but I did not get into Babylon 5. Not sure why not. I do watch Stargate SG-1 (well, I did anyway) and Stargate Atlantis. I also loved Firefly. And I am following Doctor Who and Torchwood on BBC. I used to be a science fiction aficionado, but now I tend more toward intelligent and challenging shows on the rare occasions I watch TV and sci-fi shows just tend to be more intelligent and challenging. I notice you're a fan of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Love their stuff, both together and individually. I noticed a few more books and authors on your self that I checked out from the library and read (almost all of the ones on my shelf are actually on my bookshelves at home--that's how I built my list), so I will be adding them. And yes we do tend to agree in our comments and general philosophy. Hail, fellow traveler! Ha.

Hi Payton! I just finished reading The Expected One by Kathleen McGowan and saw your review on it. I liked the book very much as well, and agreed with your review and the comments you posted regarding this book. I've put several of the books from your "bookshelf" on my wishlist, including some that you have written yourself! I look forward to reading them. :-)
