I enjoy books and reading. (Who here doesn't?) I don't know where I'll find he time to read all the books I own, but I'm always getting more. The books I have here on my "shelf" are ones that I have read and found interesting enough to recommend and discuss with others. Those on my "reading list" are ones I'm reading now or have read most recently.

I'm a part-time seminary student, but I've been writing computer software for a living for many years. I'm not enough of a geek to want to clutter my Shelfari shelf with computer books (my real shelf at work is full of them), but I enjoy using Apple computers ever since OS X and writing UNIX and Linux based software in the C++ and Python languages. I advocate free and open-source software, especially as alternatives to Microsoft products.
