I was fine when Shelfari was not owned by Amazon and fine with it now too. It's just that when they updated their system, something stopped working for me. I've decided not to look into Goodreads because I do NOT need more online groups.

Shelfari used to notify be my E-mail when there were public or private notes. Now it has not only stopped doing so but claims (on my home page) to not have any notes for me at all. I actually have to go on the notes page to check to see if I have something. Oh well. I can't complain too much. It is a free service.

Oh gosh. I feel so rude. Shelfari no longer tells me when I have messages and I accidentally found out today (May 14th) that I have quite a few messages. No, I don't mind having you follow me at all :) It's a bit flattering. I got on Shelfari in order to 1. organize my books and 2. steal reading ideas from like-minded readers. I've a son and a daughter myself. My daughter, the youngest, has just turned 21. Both are in school. Congratulations on your soon to be addition to the family. June is coming up awfully quickly. I'll bet you're busy right now! Nice to "meet" you too. Amy

Thanks so much Jeannie and I'm sorry to hear about the cancer. Please read it at your leisure. I have a digital book I bought about cancer which I haven't read yet and is a rather large book, something like 500 pages. The author said we could share it with friends and family. I'm going to send you a copy. You may want to read it first. It's natural ways to help clear up cancer with outstanding review of people curing their cancer.

Hey guys, I'm a pretty new writer and this is my first series. I'm learning from some of the reviews I'm getting that most don't like the first person view I provided in this series. I've had a few editing issues but hope they're corrected now. I give free copies to my friends in hope they could leave me a review on Amazon. Yes, L.T. Fawkes is my pen name.

My mysteries were published by Penguin/Putnam in 2003, but they've gone out of print. Now they and my Fillmore series are on Kindle.

I wonder if the - what do they call that - audio function on the Kindle would work for you. Have it read to you while it's sitting a safe distance away? Just a thought.

The groups are ok, not a lot of activity, mostly just for questions and answers. I belong to a few and hear from some. I browse by novels or authors for groups.

No problem..... remember you can loan and borrow books. try out www.booklending.com or if you see a book I have I can loan it to you if it is loanable. You get it for 14 days. I get so many books on loan I can't get to my "owned" books.

I am ..... Shelfari sent me a notice and I just did. I bet you will really enjoy your Kindle, I sure do mine. My picture is Annie (RIP) she was my little shadow. She wouls sit with me in mychair at the office. Miss her.
