Oh, the Guggenheim Museum! The "Guggenheim Collection: 1940s to Now " was displayed at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) last year. I was in the city for a school program and I took a picture of the banner that was displayed outside NGV and that's why I remember it. Unfortunately, I don't think I saw any of the collection. I don't know, I might have seen some of it but I can't remember. Apparently they didn't visit any othe city in Australia or anywhere else in the world. This is where I got the information: http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/guggenheim/I visited the site and I like the the photos of the museum. :)Oh, I always enjoy a good tussle and CDXY is especially skilled at them, as I'm finding out. I think the main problem is understanding where each of us is coming from. I'm still waiting for his next reply! Good luck with coming up with your views on the discussion.
That did the trick! Now, I can get out all my pent up quotes.Tis me on my last great adventure(last yr)!
I like your avatar but I can't seem to figure out exactly what it is. It looks like a ceiling of a building with a hole in it and the stars are visible. Is that right? Please excuse my naïvete.
hi there, peace and love
Still unable to post to old Quotes in DW, maybe start a new thread?
Sunshine Sammy. . . never heard of him!Amazing.
Ok, so I recognize Stymie there in the back, and even half of Buckwheat on the right. But who's that other brown face? It's not Farina, so who and how did I miss him?!??
Actually I meant more worrying in the sense that it could happen again, delaying the science even more. I don't think they will manage to create any real danger, there are so many extremely powerful processes going on all the time in nature, so if the risk was so big I think we wouldn't have lasted long. I am more worried about their plans to try to dump carbon dioxide in the ocean ...
Hmm thats a hard call, try not meeting yourself - or better still, pretend you are someone else - it works for me :}-
The monsters we can recognise are far better than the ones who fool us with their good works and high words - at least we can avoid the monsters we can recognise :)
WoW! Thanks! I shall have to restrain my sarcastic streak, then?
You do make me smile :) A-Z
I tried it and I still cannot post. Maybe you could try:"We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature" Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865) Source: Lincoln's First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1861.
Oh good, I have had so many quotes I have tried to post to that thread, gave up because it just wouldn't let me. Yes, near to my home- one of my favorite walk areas with my crazy Dasie dog along the St. Croix river.

I tried to write you yesterday but shelfari shut down my browser like 3x! Indeed, it feels like the clouds have parted in the sky (and I'm not one audacious enough for hope sometimes). Dominic was all about Obama (because his friends have been chatting at school and he likes to say the name). Now the real work begins!I saw Poisonwood Bible on your shelf--I'm a huge fan. I like Kingsolver to begin with, but this book really surprised me.How's life treating you and Andre?-marc
Free at last. I am so happy for all my sisters of color Barak is the man I have been fighting for and I rejoice as you do. My husband noticed him a few years ago and drew my attention to him. The rest is history as he is our President.
