NanayNette is a book-lover mum who sees the literary world through the eyes of a child: A clever and impertinent child who is not easily duped and who humbly believes she is always right, we might add. She's got an opinion on most things, if they matter enough to her. She reads anything that interests her, never believes a book review till she's read the book for herself, and almost always finishes what she begins. Devours a book a week on average, depending on how much housework can afford to be neglected. Maxes out her library card with no guilt or hesitation whatsoever; at least five books on loan from the local library at any given time. Whenever she reads a book, she often wonders if her sons would someday like it or loathe it, too. What books should she let them read as they grow older? How can she guide them in choosing what books to read? So NanayNette thought of building this virtual bookshelf, both for her own pleasure and perhaps even as a future reading list for her boys and for any of their friends. Expect a lot of children's books on NanayNette's bookshelf— read, rated and reviewed with a mother's all-seeing eyes and an editor's nitpicking wit— both for her boys and for the ageless child within her.
