I actually have read only three of Gaarder's books, though I do hope to read them all before long. Sophie's World got me hooked, and The Orange Girl (my personal favorite of the three) settled the matter. Here's just a few words about them, though I've also posted my own slightly longer reviews on this site as well.
1. Sophie's World was a wonderful introduction to philosophy, and though rather long compared to his other works, it somehow manages to be both suspenseful AND incredibly informative. The ending left me rather stupefied. :-)
2. The Orange Girl (now a motion picture, I hear, though only in Europe) was amazing. Gaarder focuses here upon the wonders of human love, man's place in the universe, and how one should live. Excellent!
3. I obtained a second-hand copy of Through A Glass, Darkly from England, and I think it was well worth it. The setting of the story is death and dying, but along the way Gaarder actually explores a lot of questions about our own world, God, and the afterlife as well. (One caution, though: If the reader is a staunch religious believer, the unorthodox speculations Gaarder poses might be a little offensive.)
Anyway, I do hope you enjoy these books! Gaarder is a wonderful, thought-provoking writer in a time when many authors seem to merely aim to please crowds of readers.

It was great to see that you enjoyed Jostein Gaarder's "The Orange Girl" too. Have you ever read any of his other books ("Through a Glass, Darkly", or "Sophie's World")?
