I'm an ER nurse and molecular biologist. I've recently taken the plunge into graduate school to get a dual Global health masters degree with a focus in Infectious diseases and bioterrorism/emergency preparedness. So, every time I try to figure out why I'm PAYING to have homework again, I think of all the cool new stuff I get to READ. ;-)

    Hi, Shauna. I just saw your message from Oct. about the books on faith on my shelf. The way that I interpret them, Anne Lamott's books are more about finding faith in herself, with support from the pastor and people in her church, plus the structure and consistency provided by organized worship. I'm also exploring my spirituality right now, and feel a bit like a wandering soul searching for the right place to tether. The Red Book has been good for expanding my ways of seeing and approaching spirituality, although I haven't had time to read much of it yet. It's best to read one chapter at a time and then have time to process. You are welcome to borrow it anytime. I would love to start a discussion group around spirituality sometime, with a mini-focus on Buddhism. You may be too busy, but if not, or if you know anyone else who would be interested, let me know.
