I'm the author of a series of humorous mystery stories appearing over the past twenty years or so in Hitchcock. My first mystery novel, Wilder...more »

Thanks for the friend invite. I have to say that I'm super excited to have a friend who's a novelist. I'm not going to lie, you pulled me in. I'm going to read your book. I'm also excited to see another short story fan. I think they're hugely underrated. Have you read Sandra Cisneros' short stories? Particularly Woman Hollaring Creek? So so amazing. I'd love to hear what you think of it if you have.

I am not familiar with Runrig. My taste in Celtic music generally runs to more traditional: Chieftains, pipes and drums, etc., but I will check them out.

Your book sounds like a lot of fun. I used to be an art historian, and worked in a couple of historical libraries, so I can see the possibilities for behind-the-scenes skulduggery.
