Authors I have not read or have read very little of but will surely immerse myself in sooner or later- Joyce Carol Oates, Cormac McCarthy, Larry Brown, David Foster Wallace, Margaret Atwood, Jeanette Winterson, Richard Brautigan, James Baldwin, Amy Tan, Susan Sontag, John Irving (I like for this list to be as lengthy as possible so that I know I always have something to look forward to).

Authors whose work I have previously immersed myself in and am constantly disappointed by- Nick Hornby, JD Salinger, Chuck Palahnuik. Those crazy boring white dudes suck me in every time, what with their egos and their whining and their self-pity.
