I'm 39 years old and I live near Baltimore Maryland. I'm an avid reader and always have been. I welcome discussion on books of all kinds. I read from most genre's, except maybe poetry and mystery/detective stories. I would have to say my favorites would have to be historical fiction, non-fiction, psychology, vampire, and classics. Hi Marnie,

Thank you for following my novels (LAKE CHARLES, THE BLUE CHEER) and my reading list. My new crime novel, ASK THE DICE, has been published by Crossroad Press. ASK THE DICE has earned sixteen 4/5-star ratings on Goodreads, and is priced at $3.99. Readers have written they like ASK THE DICE’s original voice and unusual plot twists.

Please consider downloading ASK THE DICE to enjoy on your favorite e-reader. If you prefer to read from traditional books, the paper version will be available shortly. Please let me know, and I’ll get in touch when it is. Thank you for your continued interest in my work.

    Best regards,

    Ed Lynskey

    ASK THE DICE synopsis:

Over the past two decades, Tommy Mack Zane has faithfully worked as a contract killer for Watson Ogg, the Washington, D.C. crime boss. Now middle age creeping up finds Tommy Mack edgy, jaded, and weary of his grisly trade. As he contemplates retirement, he is framed for the murder of Mr. Ogg’s niece. Desperate, Tommy Mack enlists the aid of his friends, the mercurial D. Noble and burly Esquire to do battle with Mr. Ogg and his mercenary “dark suits.” A new, better life filled with his passions for poetry and jazz drives Tommy Mack to the slambang climax where a few dark secrets about his past are unearthed.

I really liked Palimpsest, but In the Night Garden was better, IMO. I really loved it when I read it a couple of years ago. It's stuck with me, and I plan to re-read it one day. Hope you enjoy when you get to it. You'll have to let me know.

Hi Marnie :). I'm really enjoying Palimpsest so far. What other Valente do you plan to read. The Orphan's Tales is a great set of books. The first of the two was my personal favorite. She's brilliantly imaginative.

LOL, no worries. And congrats by the way on the pregnancy. When are you due? I will have to put first person plural on my list. Got rabbit howls. Pretty excited about that one.

When you get around the Moloka'i, you'll have to let me know. That was a great book. Really impacted me.

Finally remembered the title of the book with the guy with MPD. It's called "A fractured mind" by Robert Oxnam.

    How are you liking Moloka'i?

Yeah, that's true. I never thought of that before. When I figure out the title, I will let you know.

    What are your favorite classics?

Thank you for the list of classics! Those actually sound good, I am excited about those! I have always been so bored by classics, but I just figure I haven't found the right ones. Thank you so much for the time and though you put in, I really do appreciate it.

Yes, I really like psychology biographies. I will definitely check out Rabbit howls, sounds intriguing. One that you would likely enjoy is called "An uncommon dialogue" by Debra J. Drake. She did not have full out DID, but her therapist says she was incredibly close to developing it. She had the seperate personalities and lack of control of them, but hadn't lost time yet. Great read.

Another one you might have read, I can't remember the title. But the man had DID, but was also a majorly successful businessman. A president of a nonprofit Asian affairs organization.

    Great to meet you Marnie.
