I have been reading for pleasure as long as I can remember. I refuse to go on a road trip, or any vacation without a book. I've always got at least one book in progress; sometimes more, especially if one of them is a re-read.
I used to be somewhat of a book snob. (I'd rather buy one hardback than two paperbacks; because I like to keep my books to re-read later, and hardbacks look so much better on a shelf.) But lately I've begun to read ebooks instead, because they're cheaper and more portable. (Like on my phone!)
I like thrillers, horror, mystery, etc. Particularly when they involve serial killers or paranormal (vampires, psychics, werewolves, witches, etc.) Not too big on "alien" type paranormal, but I'd probably read it anyway!
Some of my favorite Authors include Stephanie Meyer, Dean Koontz, Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, Stephen King, Dan Brown, Anne Rice, Iris Johansen, etc etc.
I love discussing books, though it's difficult because nobody else in my family, or my husbands, reads for pleasure. I'm always looking for a local book club, so if you're in the area, and know of one let me know! Also, I plan on soon starting my own book review blog soon, to hopefully put some of my reading to good use for someone else! :)
