Yeah, I don't normally put pictures of me up, but I thought "why not?" That is my husband with me. We were at a friend's wedding.
So how's life been treating you? I haven't talked to you in a while, so get me updated on what's been going on. You can email me if you don't want to post it on here. Talk to you soon.

It looks like many teachers are alreay starting school in aug. I don't start until the traditional day after Labor day. I have been in two very interesting trainings. One is called the wilson Reading program which is an intensive language program for LD kids. I want to try doing it with my 8th grade non readers. Have you ever heard of it? I also had to attend the AB 472 LA training. Our presenter from Sacramento was very good.I wouldn't mind doing some ork like that for an ed consulting firm..getting too old for jr. hi! take care

Hey thanks for commenting on my shelf. And yes, I do have a list on the 50 book challenge page. You can just search my name and it should come up. I've been wanting to read a Jodi Picoulti book. What do you suggest? Good luck with the new school year.

Hey girl!! Long time, no chat. I have been pretty busy this summer. Damion played baseball for the first time and have had a lot of events to attend...weddings, b-day parties, etc... I have been reading a lot of Debbie Macomber lately. Tinkerbelle and I actually got to meet each other and Debbie Macomber all on the same day. We got her autograph and then went out to lunch. It was so much fun. Aren't you done with school yet????? LOL. Talk to ya soon. Love ya, Hollie

I see you must teach primary grades. I remember reading many similar titles when I was teaching 4th and 5th grades. I am now one year retired from middle school!

    Hi
Thanks for writing back..... yeah I sometimes watch the news but besides that I have no interest in tv. My husband on the other hand, loves it . We are like 2 polar opposites :) . When My kids were young , I allowed certain shows but ya know , nowadays there is so much garbage on tv thats its really scary. When me and my grandson are together we just either go outside or play with his toys but the tv stays off. hey write back soon. I know with little ones it can be hard . have a great one and see ya later

Hi there! Yes, we both have lots of Danielle Steel. At first, I couldn't get enough of her; but, yes, I still read her on a regular basis. I'd say she is my favorite author. I'd probably suggest: Jan Karon, The Left Behind series, also: Bodie & Brock Thoene.

It's funny...I have two copies of that book. One says turned and the other says addled. Two of my rather precocious fourth graders who were reading the book together highlighted no less than 15 changes in words between the two copies. Gotta love publishers. =) My master's was in curriculum and I will finish the PhD in administrative leadership in February 2009. The PhD is a ton of work, but I am happy that I will be done with it soon. =)

Hi!! Yes I realized that the books are at all of the Ohio libraries, for some reason I was stupid enough to forget that Ohio schools would be involved too. I've got three now, and read one and am working on a second. Just 6 1/2 more to go! When do we need these done again????? ~~Ally
