I love to read.I beleive because Im dyslexic I actually read faster. When I read fiction I dont actually see the words, its like I am watching a movie its so cool. I feel like I have a super hero power. I'm married and I survive in the south (TexASS) with my wife our three dogs, two cats, and our large family of humans.

So how did you like the Cheysuli books? Hope you are safe from the storms pounding the midwest. Just a little rain here in MA.

Glad you rethought the tattoo. I suffered agony and spent bucks on laser treatments to remove a tattoo I no longer wanted. There are still traces of the tattoo left behind and some scarring. Sometimes I think I'd like to get another one to cover it, but I work in a rather conservative environment. How do you like living in Texas? My cousin lives in Tyler.

I've been an Edward Gorey fan since childhood and one of these days plan to read his biography.
Jim Butcher is great fun! As soon as I finish White Night, I'll check out the Codex Alera series. Did you like A Canticle for Leibowitz? It's been on my shelf for years and I just haven't found a compelling reason to pick it up.

Muzzled is a good read. Michael Smerkonish is a conservative who does not appear to have the angry angst of so many of the. eg O'Reilly, Coulter, Beck. I like his approach which is sensible and agreeable. As a left of center guy, I agree with much he has to say.

You sound like a really interesting person. I love what you wrote about being dyslexic and the words in books becoming visual images. I have long stated that I don't write in English, but only in images and feelings; then I translate them into English. You sound like one of those oases in Texas; my sister lives in San Antonio, so I can understand what it's like living there.

I'd recommend starting with Norwegian Wood, at least that was my favorite. The Wind Up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore were also good. If you want to borrow a book of his short stories, though, I can lend that to you. He's great.
