Too bad about Twilight--I have to accept that not everyone will be as enthralled as I am by the same books, but it's hard. :) Have you given her Host book a try? You may like it better, if you like sci-fi. Of course, I'm pre-disposed to like Stephenie's work, since she's a cousin (in-law-in-law) of mine. :) (She's my husband's brother's wife's father's brother's daughter. Which is awfully fun to say ten times fast.)

Snow Crash is on hold for me now at my library--I'm always interested in recommendations and tend to act on them quickly, if the book is available. Of course, that brings me to my problem with your books--my local library doesn't have them and I'm MUCH too poor to suport my fiction habit without it. (I read a new book every couple days--which is easier to do when I spend half my day sitting in court: I'm a public defender.) In double-checking the truth of that statement (I'm also quite hopeful, by nature), I have discovered that I can get them on inter-library loan, so we'll be in business shortly. :) I'm be ordering Unbound, Guardian's Keep, and Wild Hunt as soon as I can get myself to the library (they haven't made ILL available online, drat it!) I'm really excited! I loved the first chapter excerpt.

Kelley Armstrong (in case you don't already know from looking at my shelf) is a favorite of mine. If the library doesn't pick up Summoning on it's own soon, I'll be making a request. Living with the Dead is also on hold for me, but I have to wait in line.

I just went through the Uglies/Pretties/Specials series. I want a hoverboard! Good series, but I um... well, we'll discuss the ending when you get there, if you like. I stalled out in Exras and finally stopped reading. I'll probably finish it later, but.... I did like Scott Westerfiield enough to go back and read his Midnighters series and I recommend that, too. Again, not my favorite ending (too much harsh reality for my recent fluffy tastes :)) but a fun series.
I see you've read Twilight--did you finish the series? I also recommend anything by Shannon Hale, for the YA fantasy lover.
You should also read more Patricia Briggs. She has a new series starting: Alpha and Omega, with Bran's magical son Charles (?) and a new female who is a special kind of werewolf (omega) that doesn't fall into the pack hierarchy anywhere. I also went back and read her earlier works--all good. :) I think they're coming out again soon (else why the new covers...).
I have a friend who runs a used book store, so I'll be calling her about your books. I read the excerpt of Unbound online and I'm very intregued. Can't wait to read it.

It was my childhood pet, Nicky. He was, I believe, 3/4 malamute, 1/4 Samoyed. He actually had brown eyes, which made him a bit different. :)
