Stuck at home, no longer able to travel (my passion) but thank god for books. Started volunteering at a library thrift store. Nice to put some good use to my lifetime of reading. Read almost anything but favorites are Cormac McCarthy, Paul Theroux, Val McDermid, Thomas McGuane. Only claim to fame: most likely the only woman born in Earth... more »

Dear Wisterio: And those were the only two men from Roundup, Montana. I am not from Roundup or Montana, so you can't marry me. You can, however, read my book, which is the next best thing. HUNTING THE KING is coming out in two weeks. As a member of the Suspense and Thriller Shelfari group, you might like it. Here are the details:

HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likeable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon."

While the book isn't available until April, you can find it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kunati Books and other googleable sites. You won't be disappointed.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heartpounding trailer for the book at http://www.kunati.books/hunting-the-king-peter-clenott/. Or you can view it on YouTube or my web site at www.peterclenott.com. Let me know what you think. Your response will let me know if I am reaching the right readers. Thanks.

I feel the same way about Romance. (books, that is). Dispise them!

Since you like Cormac McCarthy, I guess you read The Road. I couldn't put it down. Haven't read anything else of his. I'll have to explore the other authors you note in your profile.

Have you ever noticed that so many of us that are passionate about reading are also passionate about travel. Interesting connection, since reading helps you travel to unknown places......

Hello. I thought I would drop you a note because I had to laugh about your comment that you are closer to December than May and that you don't always finish books. I agree that there are way too many out there and I know I will never make a dent. I will give up on one so I can move to another. I am so afraid I am wasting my time and that perfect unread one is sitting on my stack! I pray I never lose my eyesight, for when I I am unable to travel, I will read full time as well!

lol, glad you liked it...we should have enough writers to occupy us for 3 or 4 years, at least...I put up a few more in the thread and mentioned that if there's any on the list you'd like to see featured sooner rather than later, please let me know...

When I read your info, it reminded me of me. I figured we could become great friends! Right now, I am thinking about New Orleans and the great museums down there and Magnolias in bloom - we bought two for our back yard so I could pretend. You actually know someone from Waterloo. Wow. One that got out!!

Hi Wisterio...Haven't seen you on the site for awhile. I have my own blog now if you want to drop in. Eventually, I'll be writing about books on it, but I've been seduced by drawing..
