I was looking for a good way to catalog my books. I have a lot of kindle books, and I shop Amazon for books quite often, so Shelfari was a good choice. I have to get serious about entering the books I own that I didn't get from Amazon.

I prefer non-fiction, or historical fiction, but I'll read just about anything that is intended to be meaningful. My time is valuable, and I want a return on my investment.

I really wasn't looking at Shelfari as a social networking option, but it appears that the atmosphere here is a little more mature than some other networking sites, and I might enjoy a respectful exchange with another book lover! « less
