It was great to hear from you. I'm so glad your move was so smooth and that everything was there and waiting for you. We are nearing the time we will be flying out. Tonight we will be going to our first going away party. It is all becoming very clear that we will be saying goodbye to Harrogate in no time at all. We have found our that we won't be going to Whidbey Island .. we are now going to Everett, Washington. So a bit of a change.. but it actually puts us even a tad closer to my parents. So there is always a bit of good somewhere. ~grin~ Write again when you can.
No clue who Alex is. Asked to be friend. I think he's a writer and maybe getting his name out.
I finished reading Chicken Soup for the Scrapbooker's Soul. Some of the stories I got teary eyed, others were funny. I really enjoyed it. Now I'm reading Sidney Poitier, one he wrote of himself. Right now I'm in the middle of a Beth Moore study every Fri. on Believing God. AWESOME study.
How do you leave a note for someone note on your friends list? Some ppl have similar books and I tried to leave a note and nothing happened. Do they have to be on your list of friends?
Piers Anthony writes Sci-Fi. The Xanth series is fun .. he plays on words ... chest of drawers is a cedar chest full of under "drawers" ... stuff like that. Story line is one I enjoyed without having nightmares. LOL Working on adding more of the books I read more often.
you're right about the book being "horrible" meaning the story line and the fact that it was true. It was reality, thats what made it horrible.
Hey, when did you read the book A child called It.. I never saw that on your page before. I just put it on my page today. I can't beleive you read that too. when? I read it when Chris was in high school. He had to read it, and told me about it.. then I read it. Such a sad story.
Hey sis, how is everything. Been reading some more? you have not put any comments on my page for awhile. You have probably been busy with having to move soon and all.. oh and Graduation.. .
Hey, I am reading a few books right now. During my drive to work I read at stop lights, Why Pray. And then at night before bed, I read one of three. It depends on my mood which one I pick up. And then in the morning when I wake up, I read a little bit of the bible. Oh in fact, at night when I put the girls to bed, I read to them from Baileys child's bible. It is an interactive bible.. very cool. I will have to show it to you in August.. yippeee.. August..
HI, I'm back home from Florida. As you noticed I'm sure Wednesday evening it took us longer to get back than expected... but after two canceled flights we finally got on a plane and returned home. Our time there was nice but as always with traveling the coming home is just as wonderful. See you Sunday evening. I only read one book while in Florida.. so I just added that one.
Hey, I want to read that one you just added by Joyce Meyer. I like her. The Confident Woman. Did you finish reading it, or you are reading it? I can't wait until you come home.. we can share books and swap books. love ya sis.
Some of his books are scary but not as bad as Steven King. The thing I like about Dean K. is all his books don't have a similar plot like some other writers. The first one I read was Intensity back in 1999. Intense really describes it. Deb and Dad read Whispers and it scared them really bad. I read it and only two pages were really scary. Mom
Hey sis, I am so glad you turned me onto this site. I have started to tell others about it. It is really neat.. and yeah we should share books. Any that you want read, let me know and I will send it to ya.. or just wait until you get back to the States.. see you soon, LiL SiS
Hi Barb, Just realized that picture belonged to you. It took me awhile to find my way around this site. I never finished Purpose Driven Life.I'm doing the study on Battlefields of the Mind by Joyce Meyers and just started reading her book The Power of Simple Prayer. I just finished Between Heaven and Ground Zero by Leslie Haskin who survived the trade tower crash. Awesome book. She worked in the North Tower. Took me less than a day to read. Well I'm thinking of going to bed and you're probably sleeping in late right now. Dad loved the package which he got yesterday. He said you haven't heard the end. I got your postcard from Israel yesterday. We had a blast opening stuff and we took pictures. When he saw the big snake he was a little sheepish about opening the other flaps. It was funny. Really funny watching him open stuff. Tell Brooke the little container I thought was candy scared me to death. Catch you another time. Love ya lots, Mom
Hi.. Wow.. I'm glad that Dan knew what my name on here would be. I knew you would love this site as soon as you you told me that you loved to read. It is four thirty in the morning right now.. and I just thought I would check real quick before I packed up my laptop and left for the airport. It was great to see that you had joined and already had started to build your shelf. It will be great fun to look over your books when I get back from Florida. I'll see you when I get back. I don't expect to be spending much if any time online while in Florida.. but if I do get on.. I'll pop on here again to see how your shelf is coming along. ~smile~
Hey Barb, I read a lot of the books on your shelf, but one in particular.. who moved my cheese. I can't beleive we both read that.
