I think if we all decided to appreciate everything we have instead
of crying about everything we don't, we'd be a hell of a lot happier.

If you're going to love me, love me deeply. If you're going to break my heart, then break it all. If you're going to care, care for me completely. If you decide not to hold me, don't let me... more »

Well I've been to more than one school but they've all been all-girls. For my first two years it was mixed but I was only about five haha :)

No I didn't put my name down.. I didn't even turn up to vote :L I usually leave oragnising things to other people :)
I like the way we have an all girls school, yeah, but I haven't really known it any other way. There's no colleges that take only boys or only girls so it will be mixed :)

Yeah, it's a committee of students voted by students. It's our school and another school together because we're an all-girls school and they're an all-boys school.

Yeah, we vote for a committee who do all the organising. I'm planning on going, but I haven't gotten a dress or anything yet. It's usually only the people who are leaving the school who go but sometimes people in the year below go too. And then some people bring dates, so they can be from anywhere. I've never been before. I'm guessing it's just like a dinner thing and then there's music afterwards and people stay either in the hotel or somewhere in the area for the night.

That's really cool. It's so different to here. We have a prom sort of thing too, except it's on mid-July and we have to organise it ourselves. And we call it our debs, not our prom. It's not even in the school, it's in a hotel in a different county lol

We're finished classes about the 25th May I'd say. We get off a week earlier than the other classes because they'll be doing end-of-year exams that don't really count towards anything but their summer report. Then I'll have to go back from the 6th June to the 21st June to do the exams and then I'm done :)
    What is senior week?

Yeah, I know it took a while for me to get into the first one. And they're really long, but I like them overall.

It's because I have to do the rest of the exams in June and I'll get the results altogether in August then.
I don't get much time to read lately with the exams and stuff. Once my head hits the pillow I'm straight off to sleep and I'm busy most of the rest of the day.. I'm slowly getting through Inkspell though.. What about you?

    I'll know about mid-August! It's a long wait lol
I thought they did a really good job with the movie. I actually kinda liked it better than the book cos I didn't like the books all that much. They were only ok.

Oh.. Do you not have a student council or something that has an input in those sort of decisions?
I've decided that even if I fail every single thing, I'm not repeating! I'm not going back to that school again :p

It's cool that your school has a choice. Every school in our country does the same thing.
The graduation thing works in that we just graduated from our school. It's not a qualification of any sort. Grades don't really matter because you can graduate from the school anyhow even if you fail everything. Then after the exams you get a certificate with your grades in August. If you fail anything or didn't get enough points for what you want to do, you can repeat the exams the next year in the same school or a different school.

Thanks! It really is so much pressure because everything I've done so far up to this is irrelevant.. all those As I've gotten over the years mean nothing.. it all comes down to just one exam. It's a bit unfair I think.
What kind of things do you have to do to graduate? It's really different here cos we've actually already had our graduation last Thursday :)
    Oh and that's cool :)

The exams start June 6th, but I have a French oral exam on April 17th which is worth 25% of the total exam, a music practical exam on April 19th which is worth 50%, and an Irish oral exam which is worth 40% on April 23rd. I've hardly been studying at all :/ And these are the only exams that actually matter after 6 years in secondary school. it's so much pressure!
What kind of teacher do you want to be?
