After a long career in the corporate world as the former head of Human Resources at TV Guide Magazine, USA Networks and Barney's New York Inc. I gave it up to write and speak on business and career topics because I wanted too give something back and help others. I now co-host the Your Career Doctors Radio show and am an author of business/career/ self help books. My most recent is UP: Influence Power and the U Perspective- The Art of Getting what You Want (YCD Press) My first book was titled Get More Money on Your Next Job (McGraw Hill).

I also wrote with my daughter A Woman’s Guide to Successful Negotiating (McGraw Hill). I am very proud of the fact that it was selected by Atlanta Woman magazine as one of the 50 best books for professional women.I love books, not only of the type I write although I spend most of my reading time keeping current on what is written in the field.

I started the 411 Career Group to build a shelf of the best career books available. I would appreciate any recommendations and I invite you all to join. Even if we work for ourselves we all have careers. Of course I included my own books because if I didn't believe in them I wouldn't have written them. My goal is to develop a community that can offer suggestions on good resources for business and career advice as there is a lot of bad and shopworn advice being offered out there.
