Sept./Oct. Update: The move is probably happening around Thanksgiving, and so save for a few boxes the rest of the library is languishing in storage until then. Unless I get motivated tp do some heavy box-shuffling, I think I have cataloged about all I can do for now, which means we can relax and read until the holidays!
August Update: We’re still waiting for our condo to be ready, and so I (the distaff half of the team) have been pulling boxes out of storage with the intent to have the catalog at least 70% complete before the move. This project has been oddly satisfying, and a great excuse to re-read old titles. The most recent addition to the list is a pile of books we gratefully inherited from Eric's father, which adds a welcome influx of new reading material.
Otherwise, it has been frustrating to be without our library. Don’t you wish you could pick up and read the books right off the virtual shelves?

As we attempt to catalog our library and work towards our moving date, we can't help but notice a question forming on the lips of our friends, relatives, and recently – and most pointedly - our movers: “Why so many books?”
Like so many of life's profundities, perhaps we can best explain ourselves in song (and an annoying pseudo-hipster pop-culture reference):
Here’s the story
Of a crazy lady
Who loved to read a bunch of hefty tomes:
Literature,
Comp Sci, Math, Design, Physics,
Criticism and Poems.
Here's the story,
Of a man named Eric,
Who was busy reading a pile of books of his own.
He loved history, biography,
Ornithology and folklore. But he read all alone.
Till the one day when the lady met this fellow,
and they knew - it was much more than a hunch -
That these libraries
Must somehow fit into a small condo.
That's the way we all became the Bibliophile Bunch,
The Bibliophile Bunch- the Bibiliophile Bunch
That's the way- we became the Bibliophile Bunch!
