I saw your positive words of The Art of Hearing Heartbeats on FB and it definitely caught my eye as well. However, after The Art of Fielding, the title elicits an unfortunate response!

I'll look for your official review.

On another note, is Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson on your radar? It comes out Tuesday and is another memoir by a blogger, but her blog - The Bloggess - CRACKS ME UP! I can't wait for this book, and think you would appreciate it.

I was just scanning some book sites to determine what I am going to read next. The Cove caught my eye and then I wandered to your shelf to see what you have read lately. And, lo and behold, you just started The Cove! I think it might be my weekend book, and look forward to comparing notes!

Hey, saw that you've just finished Guernsey Literary and Potato Pell Society... I've had this on my TBR pile for ages, but every time I go to pick it up for some reason I dismiss it again. What did you think?

Susan also recommended Hope: A Tragedy and I saw on my little "follower activity" thingy that you had added The Crown, which looks interesting. I will have to check out The Street Sweeper.

I flew through three books in rapid fire succession and have since stalled. I am attempting to read Dorian Gray but it just hasn't grabbed me and I am in a weird mood where nothing really sounds good....

I am hoping to get in a 2012 read this month, but so far nothing is really catching my eye. Do you have anything good on your radar?

I'm reading Rules of Civility and am glad I have the day off work because I can't put it down! I can't quite figure out where it is all going just yet, but I am enjoying getting there :)

RoC is from the library and wouldn't you know it, Doc came in just a few days after it! I need to read quickly before they expire and disappear from my Kindle!

Looking forward to both given how highly you rated them :)

I have a book I finished last week that was written by two authors: one male and one female. Which thread on PBT should I post it in?

Thanks for the help! I couldn't figure out how to see more books than the few that were on the Amazon website.

I just don't really use my Netflix anymore and, since they upped their prices, it seems a bit frivolous. When I do have spare time, I spend it reading and not watching TV....excepting the huge TLC and HGTV marathon I watched yesterday while working on my dissertation! lol.

Plus, I tend to order lots of Christmas presents through Amazon so they can be delivered and I don't have to pack them home on the plane with me....so now would be a great time to invest!

I think I'm going to do it.....

Also, I just downloaded A Game of Thrones from the library! Of course, I am still in the Middle of the Paris Wife and the physical Doc is waiting for me to pick up, but I will have to fit them all in some how :) Thank goodness next weekend is a three day holiday weekend!!

I am very intrigued by the new kindle lending library through amazon! I am not a Prime member because I really don't order a whole lot of stuff but am considering joining just for that perk.

Have you borrowed a book yet? Is it like the library where they can only lend out a limited number at a time or can I get what I want when I want it?

I'm just trying to decide if I want to do this. I am thinking of cancelling my netflix and replacing it with this.....I would save money and probably use it more.

I also think it would be interesting to read. I really don't want to purchase it though so I am going to put it on hold at the library...I bet there is a substantial hold list.....
