Thanks for joining my friends. I share your love of historical and time travel romance. My DH always changes the channel when Jericho comes on. I'll have to do something about that.

We seriously need peach cobbler. I'm having a great time listing books here -- I think I AM a library.

Hey, woman! Great to run into you on the web -- if we can't make in person book talks, this place looks comfy. Break out the virtual peach cobbler.

Ah Jackson &Perkins roses-- I know those. They are mainly hybrid teas. And moonshadow sounds great. I shall have to look out for it when I next go to the garden centre. I am always on the look out for another good rose. The David Austin interiors often look like crushed silk - a more old fashioned type of look. They also give off a really good scent. They are fairly easy to grow. Anyway, I just like roses and gardening.
I also agree that Shelfari increases one's TBR list. Not necessarily a bad thing!

    Milady --
I saw that you liked historical romance. Julia Justiss is quite right btw Loretta Chase is excellent. Lord of Scoundrels is great. Julia is also an excellent read.
What sort of roses do you grow? I am quite fond of David Austin's Old English roses.

    Hey there,
Thanks for visiting my website. Yes, I made the book teaser myself. I used Photo Story 3 ( I had to sit through a boring workshop at school for professional workshop day and we learned how to make slideshows.) Now, I'm so glad I had to sit through it. I had a blast making the trailer. I'm glad you liked it.

Glad to hear you belong to RWA. Good luck as you go through the sometimes long and frustrating trail from mss to sale.
My absolute favorite Loretta Chase is an old classic Regency, Knave's Wager, which IMHO may be the best Regency ever written. It's hard to find, though. Signet reissued it as a two-in-one with The Sandalwood Princess just before my favorite of her Regency historicals, Mr. Impossible (Berkeley,) came out in 2005. Her latest, Not Quite a Lady, came out from Avon this spring. You should be able to find the recent ones on Amazon and maybe the two-in-one.
For my books, the first, The Wedding Gamble, and the third, The Proper Wife, have linked characters and a few of the others have recurring minor characters but you don't have to read them in any particular order. The last two, The Untamed Heiress and The Courtesan, should still be available from local bookstores. I'd suggest you read the blurbs of the books on my website and pick the one that sounds most interesting. And let me know what you think! I love to have honest feedback from readers. You can be candid; believe me, I couldn't possibly hear anything more blighting that what's been said by Mrs. Giggles (who loathes my books...wonder why she keeps reading them [G])

I see you like Eloisa James and Sabrina Jeffries. Do you read Julia Quinn? Or my own personal Regency faves, Loretta Chase and Carla Kelly? Then there are the "classic" Regencies by the woman who inspired all the current writers today, Georgette Heyer.
Good luck with your writing dreams. Do you belong to RWA (Romance Writers of America?) If not, you should! It's a great place to get inspiration, instruction and networking to go from DREAM to SALE!
