Hi, My name is Kris. I have been writing since I learned how to at home, with a chalkboard and my mother's instruction.
I started my first novel in elementary school, but never finished it.
After school, I attended the Institute of Childrens' Literature via mail and learned how to write for publication.
Since then, I have some poems published in compilations, such as "Blaine", "Today I Dreampt About You," and "Untitled." I have also submitted a poem called "A Childs' Cry" which appeared in a local advocacy newsletter.
About fifteen years ago, I traveled the country selling magazines door to door throughout major cities. During that time, I cultivated a relationship with one of my "co-workers" who just happened to live fifteen minutes away from my home in Pennsylvania.
This experience inspired me to write "Windwalker" which gives the reader a virtual tour of all the victories and struggles we encountered.
I now live in California where I am hoping to further my ambitions under the embrace of the West Coast sunshine.
I would like to talk with and meet other authors or just readers who have some interesting stories to share.
I am also working on my second book which I playfully describe as "Walt Disney" meets "Planes, Trains and Automobiles." This story has comes from the root of my first attempt as a child. I am hoping to attract all ages to this family friendly novel that will speak anyone who is searching to find a missing ingredient in their life.
