Hi, My name is Kris. I have been writing since I learned how to at home, with a chalkboard and my mother's instruction.

I started my first novel in elementary school, but never finished it.

After school, I attended the Institute of Childrens' Literature via mail and learned how to write for publication.

Since then, I...more »

Review of Tales from the Boudoir Author: Denise Floyd In “Tales from the Boudoir”, Denise artfully captures the reader’s imagination through a dimension where inanimate objects “come to life” by conversing with each other and experiencing a gamut of human emotions. The “heroine” is a bed named “Le Lit” who lives vicariously through the people whom she comes in contact with, for instance by falling hopelessly in love with one of her owner’s romantic conquests, before eventually finding her own way. Denise has left an opening at the end of the book for a sequel; “a new beginning.” I would be interested in seeing a smoother transition between fantasy and real life now that Le Lit has matured and learned so much from her experiences in the “Boudoir”. “Tales” is very rich with French culture that at times puts me in mind of Danielle Steel. I give it three stars because I believe that if Denise continues to explore this realm, an existence that defies natural logic, then I can see the potential of a work in not unlike “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S. Lewis, in her future. By: Kris Williams, author of “Windwalker,” ISBN#1424156661

I have to agree that whether you are or are not a fan of Stephen King, this book gives out some tasty tidbits for any author. Just looking into his past history and the struggles he had before he became the icon he is today is very inspiring.

I have always admired the way the words King chose fit perfectly "like a hand into a glove" (from Bag of Bones). Although I am not fond of horror I do enjoy the relationships between the characters that seem to "jump" right off the page and into real life.

After I read "On Writing", I realized that procrastination was not an option for me so, shortly afterwards I put my first book on the market.

With "Unscrambled Eggs" Nadia Brown incites the courage to make subservient the mountains of opposition that block the view of success.

"Black Souls" is a masterful tribute to a beautiful people whose faith and sacrifice flow through the blood of this nation.

"Sea of Poor" and "Blind Eyes Become Open" give voice to the oppressed who daily endure fear and discrimination that we prefer not to see.

How relevant her message is for today!

Once you pick up this book, you will not put it down!
